Our Premises
Weyhill Montessori School is held in Haslemere's Scout Headquarters, which is situated on the Youth Campus in Weyhill. The Campus is a quiet cul-de-sac with a wooded area at the end which we use, along with our garden, to extend the learning opportunities that we provide indoors.

The school offers the following sessions:
Morning sessions 9.15 a.m. to 12.30 p.m., Mondays to Fridays.
Lunch sessions 12.30 p.m. to 1.30 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays (for 3 year olds and over).
The children bring packed lunches.
Afternoon sessions from 12.30 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays, and until 2.30 p.m. on Wednesdays.
Full day places are normally reserved for 3+ year olds.
We have three full school terms per year, which closely follow local school dates.
Please contact the nursery for this information.
Early Years Free Entitlement is available at the nursery from the start of the term after a child turns 3 years. More details about this can be found on the Surrey County Council website here.
Settling Your Child at School
It is very important to us that our new children settle in happily, we therefore have a flexible policy on settling children in to ensure that this first experience of school is a good one. You will be invited to visit the school with your child before he/she starts.
Parent / Carer Involvement
In acknowledging that you have the greatest knowledge and understanding of your child, we aim to establish and maintain an effective partnership with you for the benefit of your child. We keep parents informed of activities and outings. We discuss any concerns that may arise and we invite parents to do the same.
Record Keeping / Parent Conferences
Each child’s activity and progress is observed, assessed & supported by the teachers using a pioneering new digital software. The ‘My Montessori Child’ system is password secure & fully encrypted. It helps us to deliver the best educational experience to young children. It also enables parents to access their own child’s learning journey, keep up to date with nursery activities and gain ideas to support learning at home.
Parent Events
These are held periodically, offering an insight into what the children do at nursery and how our sessions are run.
OFSTED Inspections
The school has had seven OFSTED inspections (1997, 1999, 2001, 2004, 2007, 2010 & 2016), and has achieved the highest level of grading in all of these. It has been recorded that the nursery is very well resourced, offering a calm and productive atmosphere in which the children are happy and making very good progress in all areas. The latest report is available here.
Future Schooling
We maintain links with local schools in order to help us prepare children for the next step.
Parent Group
The parents have formed a group, "Friends of Weyhill Montessori School", which meets regularly with the aims of fund-raising, social contact and support.
